Delhi Woman Found Dead in Mussoorie; Police Investigate Husband Amidst Forensic Probe

A 27-year-old woman from East Delhi, identified as P Radha Gayatri, was found dead on June 15 inside a homestay in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. The victim, who worked at an IT firm in Gurugram, was on vacation with her husband, Soumya Sricharan, to celebrate his birthday when he reportedly discovered her unresponsive on the floor of their room with bloodstains on the bedsheet.

Local police arrived at the Kiana Homestay in Tipridhar after being alerted by the husband. Officials found the scene with two empty liquor bottles and food items present, and the victim's body showed no immediate external injuries in a preliminary autopsy conducted at Coronation Hospital in Dehradun. The couple, who hailed from Vishakhapatnam and were married in November 2025, are now the subject of a detailed forensic evaluation to determine the cause of death.

The victim's father, P Sudhakar, has lodged a formal complaint, prompting authorities to preserve the viscera for scientific evaluation to uncover the truth behind the sudden death. While the investigation remains ongoing, police are examining all evidence collected at the site to clarify the timeline of events that led to the incident during the couple's short holiday.
