Christopher Monfette, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard and 9-1-1, has been appointed as the showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The project involves a significant collaboration, with production companies 21 Laps and Story Kitchen attached to the adaptation alongside Sega producer Toru Nakahara.

The Persona series, originating in 1996, encompasses five mainline titles and numerous spin-offs, providing extensive narrative source material for a television adaptation.
