NCP Leader Protests As Maharashtra REAT Rules Against Promoters

NCP (SP) leader Rohit Pawar has launched a public stir in Maharashtra, accusing the state administration of failing to implement promised farm loan waivers. Godrej Projects Development Ltd., the tribunal ruled that revenue-sharing co-promoters are jointly liable for interest-bearing refunds on delayed projects. Furthermore, in cases against Veena Realcon Pvt. Ltd. and S.M. Infrastructures, the tribunal affirmed that promoters cannot use force majeure or project extensions to unilaterally delay possession or cancel allotments without due process. These decisions underscore the authority of the RERA Act in safeguarding allottee rights against developer non-compliance.
