JSW MG Motor India Prepares To Debut Starlight 560 Electric SUV

JSW MG Motor India is preparing to launch a new seven-seater SUV, known globally as the Starlight 560, later this month. Recent sightings of the electric vehicle variant at a charging station in Delhi confirm that the company is finalizing testing for the Indian market. The SUV will likely be available in both plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrain configurations to cater to diverse consumer needs.

The electric model features a distinct, blanked-off front fascia and aero-optimized wheels to improve range efficiency. Based on international specifications, the Starlight 560 EV is equipped with a 56.7 kWh battery pack. This setup powers a front-mounted electric motor producing 134 BHP and 200 Nm of torque, offering a claimed driving range of up to 530 kilometers under the CLTC testing cycle.

The introduction of the Starlight 560 signals JSW MG Motor's aggressive push to expand its footprint in the competitive Indian SUV segment. By targeting the seven-seater space with a focus on electrification, the company aims to challenge existing offerings and capture consumer interest in sustainable mobility. The official debut is expected within the next few weeks, marking a significant step in the firm's localized product strategy.
