Mahesh Dixit Appointed as New Intelligence Bureau Chief

Senior Indian Administrative Service officer Mahesh Dixit has been appointed as the new Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). A 1993-batch Telangana cadre officer, Dixit brings extensive experience in national security and internal intelligence to the role. Known as a J&K veteran, his career has been defined by long-standing service in counter-terrorism operations and strategic intelligence analysis, particularly in sensitive security regions.
