Instagram Adds Immersive Story Features for Meta AI Glasses

Instagram has unveiled a suite of innovative Story creation tools specifically designed for users of Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta, and other compatible Meta smart glasses. The update aims to elevate first-person content production by offering features that leverage the wearable's unique perspective. Users can now access these tools directly within the Instagram app's editing interface when uploading footage captured from their smart eyewear.

Among the new capabilities is Spin View, which allows viewers to interactively pan or rotate their phones to explore surroundings beyond the static video frame. Another addition, Multi-Cam, enables creators to synchronize and present dual-angle footage, combining first-person perspectives from their smart glasses with traditional smartphone video in a single, cohesive Story. These features work to bridge the gap between wearable hardware and social content, providing creators with more dynamic storytelling options.

Alongside these interactive formats, Instagram has introduced specialized editing utilities for Meta-captured content. Creators can now use the Expand tool to reframe wide-angle shots to focus on primary subjects, while new Audio and Speed tools allow for better background noise reduction and custom playback pacing.
