Hero MotoCorp Invests Rs 3,200 Crore In New Andhra Pradesh Manufacturing Hub

Hero MotoCorp has officially announced a massive Rs 3,200 crore investment to establish a new manufacturing and logistics hub in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. This project serves as a cornerstone of the company’s expansion strategy, with an initial phase valued at Rs 750 crore. The facility is designed to act as a centralized Global Parts Centre (GPC) while also handling the development and manufacturing of the company's electric vehicle portfolio, including the popular Vida range. This development aligns with the company's commitment to scaling its 'Made in India' manufacturing capacity for both domestic and international markets.

The new site is projected to generate approximately 4,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities within the Rayalaseema region. Beyond manufacturing, the company has pledged support for local supply chains and technical skill development through dedicated scholarship programs for regional students. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu noted that the selection of Tirupati highlights the state's effective investor-friendly infrastructure, reinforcing the region's position as a burgeoning center for global automotive production.

This investment marks a significant step forward for the automotive sector in southern India. By integrating high-tech EV engineering with a robust, automated logistics network, Hero MotoCorp aims to streamline its operational efficiency and bridge the gap between traditional and future mobility. Chairman Pawan Munjal emphasized that the hub reflects a long-term commitment to maintaining the company's leadership in the two-wheeler segment. Construction is currently underway, with the site expected to stimulate ancillary industries and improve regional infrastructure, acting as a bellwether for the industrial growth of Andhra Pradesh.
