Australia’s Firmus Technologies Partners With Nvidia for Cloud AI Scaling

Australian AI infrastructure firm Firmus Technologies has signed a strategic deal with Nvidia Corp to provide scalable, cost-effective cloud AI computing services. The partnership involves Firmus purchasing Nvidia infrastructure to bolster its cloud offerings, with both companies projecting the venture could generate $30 billion in revenue over the next six years.

The agreement is bolstered by Nvidia’s role as an existing investor in Firmus, which recently successfully raised $1.35 billion in private capital. This partnership comes as Firmus explores a potential initial public offering (IPO) to further accelerate its expansion into the global AI infrastructure market.

The initiative aims to alleviate the high barriers to entry for emerging AI firms by providing high-performance computing power at lower operational costs. As this impacts global AI access, it holds particular relevance for the Indian technology sector, which continues to integrate more AI-driven workflows and may eventually rely on international cloud infrastructure providers like Firmus for scalable compute capacity.
