The emergency was triggered by an emailed bomb threat directed at the ISRO chairman, which arrived shortly after the lunch hour. Security forces, including specialized bomb disposal squads, conducted a thorough search of the campus. The threat was ultimately declared a hoax, as no explosive materials or suspicious items were found, allowing personnel to resume operations.
