CIK Conducts Multi-Location Raids Across Kashmir Under UAPA Investigation

Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) launched a series of raids across the Kashmir Valley on Saturday, targeting multiple locations as part of an ongoing probe into a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Officials confirmed that the operations were carried out in accordance with court-issued search warrants, focusing on gathering evidence related to FIR No. 07/2023, which involves charges of inciting animosity and terror-related activities under the IPC and UAPA. Search teams visited properties in Srinagar, Ganderbal, and Anantnag districts.

The search operation covered residences of individuals including Riyaz Ahmad Beigh in Srinagar, Syed Qalandar Shah in Ganderbal, and Gulzar Ahmad Rather in Anantnag. Law enforcement teams recovered various documents and digital devices deemed relevant to the investigation. These materials are now slated for forensic and technical analysis to identify potential linkages to illegal activities, including terror financing or subversive support networks active in the region. The operation represents a continuing effort by the CIK to dismantle networks involved in unlawful activities.
