BMW M2 M xDrive Confirmed for India Launch

The BMW M2 M xDrive Coupe is officially confirmed for the Indian market, bringing all-wheel-drive capability to the brand’s most accessible M model. Originally debuting globally on June 3, this version integrates BMW’s rear-wheel-biased M xDrive system, which directs torque to the front wheels only when rear-wheel traction is compromised. The vehicle retains the robust 3.0-litre straight-six turbo-petrol engine found in its rear-wheel-drive sibling, delivering 480hp and 600Nm of torque to provide a performance-focused experience.

The addition of the M xDrive system significantly enhances off-the-line acceleration, with BMW claiming a 0-100kph sprint time of 3.7 seconds. This marks a 0.3-second improvement over the standard RWD model. Beyond pure acceleration, the vehicle features an Active M Differential and a configurable M Setup menu. This allows drivers to engage a specialized 2WD mode with Dynamic Stability Control deactivated, ensuring the car maintains the traditional driving characteristics associated with BMW's performance heritage while offering modern traction management.
